§ Mr. LangExtensive discussions took place between my officials and representatives of Kymmene-Stromberg leading to an offer of grant under the Government's regional policy to assist in the building of a pulp and paper mill at Irvine. For reasons of commercial confidentiality it is not normal practice to disclose the amounts of grant offered although the amounts paid are published in "British Businesss" in the quarter after payment is made. As part of that offer of regional support KymrneneStromberg has agreed to give United Kingdom equipment suppliers full and fair opportunity to bid for the supply of capital equipment for the project.
