§ Mr. Robin Cookasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what development grants have been paid in the most recent 10 years to Golden Wonder, or its parent companies, in respect of its Broxburn plant; and whether any parallel payments have been made from European Community funds.
§ Mr. LangIt is a long-standing practice that, in the interests of preserving commercial confidentiality, comprehensive information on grant payments is not made public. Details of individual payments in excess of £25,000 are published quarterly in "British Business" and I would refer the hon. Gentleman to that publication.
I am not aware of any recent payments to the firm from EC funds but I will look further into that matter and write to the hon. Member.
