§ Mr. Giles ShawThe Government's economic policies are promoting jobs and wealth creation nationally, and our regional industrial policy measures positively encourage investment and employment in the assisted areas, including much of the North East region. In addition, creation of UDCs in Tyne and Wear and Teesside will encourage industrial development.
