asked Her Majesty's Government:
Whether it is their intention to sign in the appropriate manner the Treaty of Rarotonga and whether any of the other nuclear weapon states have as yet done so.

§ Baroness Young
The United Kingdom is not eligible to sign the Treaty of Rarotonga, but is eligible to become party to the Protocols, an issue which is currently under consideration. The Soviet Union signed Protocols II and III on 15th December 1986.
