HC Deb 12 January 1987 vol 108 cc77-8W
Mr. Chris Smith

asked the Secretary of State for Energy whether he will instruct British Nuclear Fuels Ltd. to allow access to Sellafield nuclear plant of Euratom inspectors in assessing the appropriate safeguarding of designated civil nuclear material on the same terms as applied to the nuclear installations inspectorate in conducting their recent safety audit; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Goodlad

Euratom safeguards inspectors already have the necessary right of access to all the civil nuclear material at Sellafield.
