asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will list the members of the Advisory Committee on Pesticides, established under the Food and Environment Protection Act 1985, and whether any members of this committee are currently employed by companies with an interest in manufacturing or distributing pesticides or are in receipt of consultancy fees from such companies.

Each member appointed to the Advisory Committee on Pesticides is required to sign an undertaking that he or she has no financial or commercial interest which would be likely to prejudice the proper discharge of any functions as a member of the committee. All currently appointed members have given that undertaking. Furthermore, they are required to notify the Minister if they acquire any such interest during their term of office. This would include details of any paid consultancy work, and to date none has been notified to my department.
