§ Mr. Madelasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the recent southern African development co-ordination conference in Gaborone.
§ Mr. Chris PattenI attended the annual consultative meeting of the Southern African Development Coordination Conference in Gaborone on 5 and 6 February. During the conference I made a new pledge of £10 million. This brings to £35 million the total we have pledged for assistance through this organisation.
