HC Deb 09 February 1987 vol 110 c101W
Mr. Wigley

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what has been the increase, in percentage terms, of the total hospital budget of the National Health Service in Wales since 1979.

Mr. Mark Robinson

There is no centrally prescribed budget for hospital services in Wales, but the expenditure incurred by Welsh health authorities on such services between 1979–80 and 1985–86 increased by 89.1 per cent. at outturn prices.
