HL Deb 09 February 1987 vol 484 c508WA
Lord Jenkins of Putney

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will respond to the letter they have received from the Dodecanesian-Cypriot Association about the human rights of Cypriots in areas of Cyprus occupied by the Turks.

The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Baroness Young)

We have replied to the letter received from the Dodecanesian Cypriot Association. We have the deepest sympathy for the relatives of those persons who have disappeared from both communities in Cyprus. We wholeheartedly support the work of the United Nations Inter-communal Committee on Missing Persons. We understand that the committee is expected to present a report shortly.
