asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on the screening arrangements for the early detection of cervical cancer in each of the health board areas of scotland and as to what consideration has been given to adopting the new cancer test developed by the charity Quest for A Test for Cancer

My right hon. and learned Friend has received and is presently considering the report of a Scottish Health Service planning council working group which has been reviewing the cervical cytology service in Scotland.

We have no information about the test to which the hon. Member refers.
