To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food when he next proposes to have discussions with the National Farmers Union on the question of cereal surpluses in Europe; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. MacGregor

My colleagues and I frequently meet members of the National Farmers Union and discuss a wide range of issues, including cereals surpluses.
