Mr. Lang

The position of members of religious orders under the community charge proposals is still under consideration.

Mr. Wilson

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what arrangements he now intends to make in respect of student nurses under the poll tax legislation.

Mr. Lang

Student nurses, like other adults, will be liable for the personal community charge and eligible for community charge rebates in appropriate circumstances.
