HC Deb 10 December 1987 vol 124 c254W
Mr. Wigley

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland whether, during the past eight years, Ministers of his Department have held joint meetings with health authorities in Scotland, together with right hon. and hon. Members representing constituencies served by those health authorities; and whether he is currently prepared to consider such three-sided meetings if so requested by health authorities in Scotland.

Mr. Michael Forsyth

There has been one such formal meeting, although Ministers have from time to time had less formal discussions with constituency MPs when visiting health board facilities. Ministers meet regularly with health board chairmen to discuss a wide range of issues, and health boards in turn hold meetings with constituency MPs.
