§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonThese schemes are at various stages of preparation. As with all schemes, progress depends on the satisfactory completion of statutory procedures, the availability of funds and the priority of particular schemes within the context of competing claims from the entire trunk road network in Scotland. I would not expect any of the four schemes mentioned by the hon. Member to commence construction before the early 1990s.
