HC Deb 04 December 1987 vol 123 c720W
Sir Eldon Griffiths

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs why the British high commission in Zimbabwe failed to answer four letters sent between October 1986 and October 1987 regarding medical forms required in connection with the disablement pension of Mr. J. A. Smith of Newmarket.

Mrs. Chalker

The British high commission in Zimbabwe received only two such letters between these dates. The first, dated 14 February 1987, was answered on 5 March. The action taken on an undated letter received in late September was reported to my hon. Friend on 19 November by the high commissioner.
