§ Mr. Campbell-Savours
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) why Mr. Bashar Samara was deported from the United Kingdom and whether he will make a statement;
(2) to which country Mr. Bashar Samara was deported in September.

§ Mr. Hurd
Mr. Samara was refused entry to the United Kingdom on 18 September 1987 on the grounds that his exclusion was conducive to the public good for reasons of national security. He was removed to Israel on 19 September 1987.
