§ Mr. LivseyTo ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will take steps to restrict military personnel based at the Cwm Gwdi camp in the Brecon Beacons from engaging in exercises which will disturb local residents prior to 7.30 am.
§ Mr. FreemanCwm Gwdi camp provides an essential training service for the armed forces; activities include night marching, endurance training, and because of the nature of these activities there can be no restrictions on times of operation. However, no live or simulated firing or manoeuvring of tracked vehicles is involved, and disturbance to others is kept to an absolute minimum.
