§ Mr. Andrew Bowdenasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will ask the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis to review the regulations that govern the resignation and subsequent taking up of other employment of a senior police officer from the Metropolitan and City of London police forces.
Mr. HoggThe provisions relating to the resignation of police officers are contained in the Police Regulations 1979 and the Police Pensions Regulations 1987. We have no present plans to amend them.
