§ Mr. NewtonThe figures for English authorities were given in my reply to the hon. Member for Holborn and St. Pancras (Mr. Dobson) on 17 December 1986, at columns574–78. These provisional figures are now confirmed. Expenditure by Welsh authorities is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Wales.
