§ 14. Mr. James Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he will next meet the chairman of the British Steel Corporation to discuss the suggested merger between the Clydesdale works, Belleshill and a French company.
§ Mr. LangMy right hon. and learned Friend and I met the chairman of the British Steel Corporation on 26 February. There are no plans for a further meeting in the immediate future but we shall continue to meet on a regular basis, to discuss matters affecting the steel industry in Scotland.
