HL Deb 07 April 1987 vol 486 c1019WA
Lord Hylton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

When the second part of Mr. Colin Sampson's report to the Chief Constable of Northern Ireland will be received and when they expect to make a statement concerning disputed killings in County Armagh in 1982 and the subsequent use of lethal force by the Security Services.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Northern Ireland Office (Lord Lyell)

A further part of Mr. Sampson's report has now been received by the DPP(NI) and the Chief Constable of the RUC. As my right honourable friend the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland said in another place on 27th November last, he will at the earliest appropriate time make a statement on any aspects of the report that fall within his area of responsibilities.
