HC Deb 02 April 1987 vol 113 c595W
54. Mr. Gerald Howarth

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what representations he has received regarding the Obscene Publications Bill.

Mr. Mellor

We have received 101 written representations from hon. Members, public and private bodies and members of the public, the majority of which were in favour of my hon. Friend's Bill. My right hon. Friend also met representatives of the Lords and Commons all-party family and child protection group on 25 March who expressed to him the group's support for the Bill.
