§ Mr. MellorWe are continuing to provide the police, the courts, the probation service and the prisons with the resources they need and additional help for victims. Last November, working groups of the Home Office standing conference on crime prevention published reports on measures which can be taken to prevent commercial robbery and violence associated with licensed premises. Later this year, we hope to issue a free booklet advising women about precautions against violent crime. Our research programme aims at a better understanding of violent crime.
