§ Mr. LangThe annual growth rate in manufacturing output per employee in Scotland over the period 1979 to 1985 has been 6.2 per cent. This exceeds the corresponding United Kingdom figure of 3.8 per cent. and is also well above the low increase of 0.4 per cent. achieved in the previous six-year period.
