asked the Secretary of State for Transport on what occasions so far in 1986 aircraft taking off from Heathrow airport have infringed the night noise limits; and which airlines were involved in each case.

Heathrow Airport Ltd.'s records show that up to the end of August 1986, there were 59 infringements of the night noise limit this year, out of a total of 1,837 night departures made by aeroplanes leaving Heathrow during the night period from 2300 to 0700 hours.

The operators involved were as follows:—
