HC Deb 21 October 1986 vol 102 cc840-1W
Mr. Tony Banks

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he has any plans to make proposals relating to the current management of Hainault forest by the London Residuary Body, following the statement of the then Parliamentary Under-Secretary, the hon. Member for Mitcham and Morden (Mrs. Rumbold) on 23 July, Official Report, column 339; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Chope

Hainault forest passed on abolition to the London boroughs of Redbridge and Havering and to Essex county council. It is being managed by Redbridge on behalf of all the councils. My hon. Friend the Member for Mitcham and Morden (Mrs. Rumbold) has written to my hon. Friend the Member for Epping Forest (Sir J. Biggs-Davison) correcting the statement she made on 23 July at column339.
