§ Mr. Tony Banksasked the Secretary of State for the Environment, pursuant to the answer of 25 July, Official Report, column 563, when his Department received a copy of the report by Messrs. Richard Ellis, chartered surveyors, and property consultants, on the disposal of county hall; and if he will now place a copy in the Library.

The report was commissioned by the London Residuary Body and is confidential.
§ Mr. Tony Banksasked the Secretary of State for the Environment, (1) what discussions have taken place between his Department and the London Residuary Body about possible purchases of county hall since receipt by the London Residuary Body of the consultants' report;
(2) if his Department was made aware of the contents of the first draft of the consultants' report by Messrs. Richard Ellis on the disposal of county hall;
(3) what discussions have been held between his Department and the London Residuary Body in the light of the report by Messrs. Richard Ellis on the future of county hall concerning (a) the structural condition of the complex, (b) possible disposal as accommodation for the private sector, (c) the separate disposal of buildings in the complex, (d) uses for the complex other than offices, (e) use of the main building as an hostel and (f) the marketing of the complex by Messrs. Richard Ellis, and the cost of such marketing;
(4) if his Department has been consulted about alterations, or adaption to the interior of county hall by the London Residuary Body; and if he will make a statement.
