§ Mr. Douglas HoggGuidance was issued to electoral registration officers on 18 November. A copy of the circular (numbered RPA 303) is in the Library. Publicity campaigns will be mounted before the next local government elections on 7 May, and when the date of the next general election is known, publicity will include advertisements in the press, announcements on the radio and an information leaflet.
