HC Deb 24 November 1986 vol 106 c2W
Mr. Sedgemore

asked the Prime Minister if, in the light of the statements made by Mr. Justice Powell in the Australian Courts, she will request the Attorney-General and other suitably qualified persons to give evidence on behalf of Her Majesty's Government in the case concerning the alleged breach of confidentiality by Mr. Wright and his publishers.

The Prime Minister

I have no plans to do so.

Mr. Campbell-Savours

asked the Prime Minister if there have been any discussions between Her Majesty's Government and the United States Administration about any matters arising from the case brought by Her Majesty's Government against Mr. Peter Wright in Australia; and if she will make a statement.

The Prime Minister

Any such discussions, if they have occurred, would be confidential.
