§ Mr. LeeI refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to him on 17 November 1986, col. 67–68, which contains the unemployment figures which he has requested. The following table gives the numbers of people registering for employment at jobcentres on 3 October 1986 in the areas requested, except that Great Britain figures are given instead of United Kingdom. Northern Ireland figures are not comparable with the rest of the United Kingdom, since only disabled people and those in skill shortage occupations are encouraged to register there.
