asked the Secretary of State for Energy what information he has on the 1983–84 expenditure on government research and development budgets of the member countries of the International Energy Agency in United States dollars.

The International Energy Agency publishes statistics on Government expenditure on energy research development and demonstration for calendar years. The figures for 1984 are as follows:
