§ Mr. Marlowasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement as to the policy with regard to the assistance of service personnel at equestrian events, to include information on repayment and the levels of compulsion applied to service personnel.
§ Mr. FreemanService personnel may assist with displays and other such events, including equestrian events, provided this would not be to the detriment of military commitments. In most circumstances those involved would he volunteers; costs would normally be charged to the organisers.
