§ Dr. Twinnasked the Secretary of State for Energy what is his latest estimate of the date when the report of the Sizewell inquiry will be submitted to him.
§ Mr. Peter Walker[pursuant to the replies, 19 November, 1985 c 101, and 13 March, 1986 c. 555]: I said in March that Sir Frank Layfield, the inspector, hoped to deliver his report on the Sizewell "B" public inquiry to me during September. The inspector has recently reviewed the position and has now informed me that he has not been able to finalise his report as soon as he had hoped. He now intends to deliver his report to me at the end of November or early in December.
As I said on 13 March, when I have received the inspector's report I intend to reach my decision as soon as I possibly can.
