§ Mr. Pawseyasked the Secretary of State for the Environment when the hon. Member for Rugby and Kenilworth can expect a reply to his two letters of 1 May and 25 July with reference to Mrs. B. Johnston of Age Concern, Rugby.
§ Mr. ChopeMy hon. Friend's letter of 1 May was received in the Department and was identified as a matter for which the Department of Health and Social Security has responsibility. The correspondence then appears to have gone astray in the process of arranging its transfer. The Department can find no record of the further letter of 25 July. I apologise unreservedly for any difficulty that may have been caused to my hon. Friend, and I shall write to him so that we can now deal speedily with the issues raised by him and his constituent.
