§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeTeletypewriter terminals are installed in all but the smallest 221 jobcentres, which do not merit the installation of a terminal because of low business volume. There are 1,080 terminals currently in use. The cost of installing each teletypewriter is £90 plus VAT on average. Monthly operational cost of each teletypewriter is £179 plus VAT excluding staff time.
