HC Deb 22 May 1986 vol 98 c283W
Mr. Craigen

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what information he has on expenditure by regional authorities (a) in the last year for which figures are available and (b) in 1982–83 on training of part-time youth leaders in Scotland.

Mr. Ancram

This information is not centrally available.

Mr. Craigen

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he received the urban aid application C/204/86 from Strathclyde regional council to assist the Wanderers parents group in Milton, Glasgow, in furthering youth activities with parental back-up; and when he expects to decide on the grant application.

Mr. Ancram

The Scottish Development Department received this application in December 1985 as part of a package submitted by Strathclyde regional council for urban programme support in 1986–87. Further information was sought from the council in March to clarify the project's eligibility. This was received on 21 May. A decision will now be taken on the application as quickly as possible.
