HL Deb 22 May 1986 vol 475 c537WA
Lord Allerton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether a firm date has been fixed for the improvement at Wardley Hill on the A.47 two miles to the west of Uppingham and when it is expected that the present serious congestion will be terminated.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Transport (The Earl of Caithness)

We hope to start construction on the A.47 Wardley Hill Improvement towards the end of this year a little ahead of schedule and the work is expected to take 21 months to complete.
