§ Mr. LangThe Manpower Services Commission operates the job search scheme which helps unemployed people with the costs of travelling to job interviews. My right hon. and noble Friend and I are considering a proposal from the Commission to replace this by a new travel to interview scheme, recently piloted in MSC's northern region, which is more cost-effective and simpler to administer. My right hon. and noble Friend and I will write to my hon. Friend once that decision is taken.
