HC Deb 12 May 1986 vol 97 c326W
Mr. Terlezki

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what assessment his Department has made of how British companies, trading with the Soviet Union in light industry, computers, fibres, furnishings and construction engineering will be affected by the Chernobyl disaster; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Alan Clark

I have at present no reason to believe that British companies trading with the Soviet Union in these sectors will be seriously affected by the Chernobyl nuclear accident.
