HC Deb 12 May 1986 vol 97 c305W
Mr. Rowlands

asked the Attorney-General what is the average time that a litigant has to wait from making an application for (a) maintenance and (b) access to his or her child to be heard before the registrar at the Merthyr Tydfil county court.

The Attorney-General

The average waiting time for appointments before the registrar at Merthyr Tydfil county court is 10–11 weeks for maintenance hearings and 13–14 weeks for access hearings. If the hon. Member is concerned about delay in any particular case I would ask him to draw it to the attention of the Lord Chancellor so that inquiries may be made.
