asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the total value of goods held in the Crown Suppliers stores at the India pavilion, Exhibition Ground, Wembley and at Milton, near Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

At 30 April 1986 items worth approximately £1.55 million were held at Wembley, and at Milton approximately £6.2 million. In addition, the Crown Suppliers hold on an agency basis approximately £4.5 million worth of hearing aid equipment owned by regional health authorities and part of a DHSS stockpile of bedding and domestic items for use in emergencies.
