HC Deb 26 March 1986 vol 94 c512W
Mr. Kennedy

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on the indicative allocations of support finance to each health board for 1986–87, expressing such allocations also in terms of (a) new projects and (b) commitment to existing projects.

Mr. John MacKay

The Scottish Home and Health Department notified health boards on 7 March of the indicative levels of expenditure for support finance for 1986–87. Details for each board are shown in the table. Remaining expenditure on projects adopted on or before 30 April 1985 is met from central funds. Expenditure on projects adopted since 30 April 1985 and on new projects is met from health boards' overall allocations. The levels of expenditure notified to health boards on 7 March are considered desirable in the light of the boards' population and financial allocations. They show an increase of 4.5 per cent. over equivalent levels for 1985–86.
