§ Mr. WhitneyThe number of children under five for the parliamentary constituency of Leyton in 1981 is estimated as 5,600. Data on nursery places are held centrally by social service authority. In the London borough of Waltham Forest, which includes Leyton, there were 450 day nursery places at 31 March 1985, equivalent to 30 places per thousand children under five.
