§ Mr. WaldenMy right hon. Friend and I welcome the Budget proposals designed to encourage charitable giving by companies and individuals. We expect the flow of private funds to universities and other bodies for scientific research and other purposes to increase as a result of them and we hope that all concerned will take full advantage of the opportunities they offer.
