Mr. Stern

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will list those education authorities which have not yet submitted acceptable schemes for lunchtime supervision.

Mr. Dunn

Forty-four local education authorities have yet to submit a scheme for lunchtime supervision. Of these, several have indicated informally that they expect to do so but have not as yet been able to finalise their schemes. Authorities wishing to submit proposals in respect of financial year 1986–87 have until 15 April 1986 to do so.

Following is a list of authorities in England which have not yet submitted bids for either 1985–86 or 1986–87.
