HC Deb 25 March 1986 vol 94 c398W
Mr. Kennedy

asked the Paymaster General when he expects to receive and publish the next labour force survey.

Mr. Lang

The preliminary results from the 1985 labour force survey are currently being prepared by our officials. It is a little premature to fix a firm publication date, but we intend to publish the information as soon as possible.

Mr. Wainwright

asked the Paymaster General how many people in Great Britain who were registered as unemployed on 6 February had never had a job since leaving school; and how many of them were aged under 19 years.

Mr. Lang

The following information is in the Library. On 6 February 1986 there were 298,480 unemployed claimants in Great Britain who had never had a job since leaving school, of whom 150,432 were aged under 19 years.
