§ 38. Mr. Norman Atkinsonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what conclusions he has reached on the lessons to be learnt from the report entitled "Public Disorder in Tottenham, 6th October 1985" submitted to him by Deputy Assistant Commissioner Richards.
§ Mr. Giles ShawMr. Richards' report was addressed to the Haringey Police Community Consultative Group, which met to consider it on 13 March. The Commisioner is considering the lessons to be learnt from the riots last autumn at Brixton and Tottenham in his review of tactics and equipment.
