§ Sir Philip Goodhartasked the Secretary of State for Defence what proportion of volunteers serving with the Territorial Army Volunteer Reserve have had some previous service with the regular forces.
§ Mr. LeeThere are currently 982 officers of the Territorial Army who have had previous service with the regular forces. This represents 14.5 per cent. of the officer strength at 31 January 1986. The corresponding figure for soldiers is 15,301 (21.8 per cent.).
