HL Deb 12 March 1986 vol 472 cc686-7WA
Lord Hylton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the exclusion orders made against Mr. and Mrs. John McLaughlin, which have the effect of preventing them living together in any part of the United Kingdom, have been or will be revoked or modified.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Northern Ireland Office (Lord Lyell)

The exclusion orders against Mr. and Mrs. McLaughlin have not been revoked or modified. As provided by Section 18 of the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1984, the present orders will lapse on 22nd March 1987 unless they are revoked earlier. Both orders will be reviewed before that date to determine if Mr. and Mrs. McLaughlin should continue to be excluded.
