Botswana
- Support to the Ministry of Health for provision of a technical co-operation officer for public health and family planning; £120,000; 1983–86.
Fiji
- Support to the Central Statistics Office; £50,000; 1986–87.
India
- Assistance to the Orissa family welfare project; £1.9 million; 1985–86.
- Assistance to the Hyderabad slum improvement project; £70,000; 1985–87.
- Assistance to an integrated family welfare project, Gujarat; £1.9 million; 1984–87.
- Assistance to the Registrar General's office; £30,000 1984–87.
Kenya
- Assistance to an integrated rural health and family planning project; approximately £900,000; 1983–87.
Malaysia
- Support for a population training course at the Asian and Pacific Development Centre in Kuala Lumpur; £12,000; 1986.
Nepal
- Asistance to community based family planning/maternal and child health activities; approximately £60,000; 1984–85.
Pakistan
- Assistance to the implementation of the population welfare plan; £4.8 million; 1983–87.
§ Sir John Farrasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs which countries received assistance for national family planning and population projects under the Overseas Development Administration bilateral aid programme in 1984.

§ Sir John Farrasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will publish a list of proposals for bilateral aid assistance to population-related activities which he is at present considering, setting out the countries involved and the estimated cost to the United Kingdom of the proposals.
§ Mr. RaisonThe following proposals for bilateral assistance to population-related projects and programmes are under consideration:
Bangladesh
- Assistance to a population and family health project; £8 million over five years.
India
- Further assistance to the Orissa family welfare project; estimated cost up to £15 million over five years.
Pakistan
- Assistance to establish reproductive health service centres; £1.8 million over five years.
Zimbabwe
- Assistance to a family health project; approximately £1 million over five years.
